Hello everybody! My name is Dr. Daniel Page, but you can call me Daniel or Dan! In the 2026 Municipal Elections in the RM of Springfield, Manitoba, I am running for Mayor (Head of Council). As announced on May 1, 2026, I seek to improve government transparency, reform, and accountability, including restoring the public’s role in our governance. I strive to protect your civic voice and our rural communities.
My main priorities are improving governance and civics, supporting responsible spending in the present, uncertain and harder economic times, protecting Springfield’s rural character, to be forwarding thinking and sensible with development, be for effective community safety, and support accountability in governance. Daniel is your local Computer Science professor on Pineridge Road, and runs his own small educational business PageWizard GL&E, where he conducts his academic research, and creates multimedia (books, videos, and offering videography & educational consulting services), especially affordable educational materials in Computer Science. Daniel Page is a registered candidate for Mayor in the 2026 Rural Municipality (RM) of Springfield Municipal Elections, which take place on October 28, 2026. Daniel is the first registered candidate for Mayor, registering on May 1, 2026. MOST RECENT EVENT: October 14, 2026 Meet & Greet Event
OCTOBER 14. I want to thank everybody who came out to the Meet & Greet at The Peppercorn Restaurant in Oakbank. This was the third in the series of Meet & Greets I have done with the public. Thank you for the great hospitality from our hosts, and great service.
At this event, the main theme was moving forward. We invited donations separately to support Elites Gymnastics Club. We had a wonderful speech from the club, thank you so much for the opportunity to support the message of community supporting community. These events are fundamentally about listening to you and moving forward together. Thank you for the opportunity to listen.
Not all the topics we discussed found their way onto the pad, but we did not finish until all the topics were fully discussed. We wrapped up just before 9:30PM. I made sure to order a brownie to-go on my way out after! — Daniel Page, October 17, 2026.

- Everyone is invited to the event! While some basics will be at the event, it will be after supper. We encourage you to support a local business and order your own meal at the Peppercorn Restaurant before the meeting doors open!

September 2, 2026 Campaign Meet & Greet Event
SEPTEMBER 5. Thank you for everybody who donated goods to the Springfield Food Bank at the Meet & Greet we had together at Anola Community Club on September 2, 2026! I delivered your valuable donations this morning to the Springfield Food Bank.
The amazing folks at the Springfield Food Bank gave my wife and I a tour of the operation this morning. It was nice seeing some faces I have seen in the community volunteering and taking the time to help! Thank you so much for all your continued hard work, everybody at the Springfield Food Bank.
Beyond restoring your voice in local government and improving how the RM governs its decisions, one of the primary reasons I am running is to help our RM better navigate the harder economic times we are in and making decisions more financially responsibly in tune with those times. — Daniel Page, September 5, 2026.
SEPTEMBER 2. Thank you again for the second Meet & Greet, held at Anola Community Club! It was wonderful seeing people take the time to participate, learn more and be engaged in civics, and for me to have opportunities to listen! This was your event! The theme of this event was people, the people of our community, those who are represented by our local municipal government.
I want to especially thank the volunteers who helped set up for the day, and everybody who donated to the Springfield Food Bank! I meant a lot to me to have a couple candidates come out as well, to participate in the discussions. I will post an update when that is delivered.
We spoke about a large number of topics that residents brought forward to discuss together. We wrapped up around 10PM, and I didn’t leave until after midnight as I was listening and discussing with a resident in the parking lot. — Daniel Page, September 3, 2026.

June 4, 2026 Fundraising Meet & Greet Event
I would like to thank everybody who came out to my first event, and also those who volunteered. It was a pleasure to meet with you, and to give people the opportunity to be heard, discuss, and to listen. A part of this laid-back meet & greet event was the theme of heritage, we raised some money for the Grotto Restoration Fund — Daniel Page, June 7, 2026.
